Lot # 2

    Esther and Anna's brother Samuel  was born Nov.10, 1844. He married Martha Cober. To them were born Nelson of Petoskey, Michigan, Oliver of Toronto, Gilbert of Guelph, Cornelia, Arthur and Della.

 Lot # 6

   Here, Daniel Holm, son of Peter Niles Holm, and his wife Esther Pannabecker saw the birth of their first and only child, Cyrus.

   After Esther's passing, Daniel was remarried to Anna Pannabecker. To them were born Jeremiah, Isaiah, Veronica, Elias, Agnes, Archibald, Angeline and Walter.

    Esther and Anna were daughters of Cornelius Pannabecker and Veronica Witmer.

Descendants of Michael Hunsberger Bergey

Generation No. 1

1. MICHAEL HUNSBERGER³ BERGEY (ISAAC², HANS ULRICH BURKI¹) He married SUSANNA SCHLICTER OBERHOLTZER, daughter of UNKNOWN OBERHOLTZER.

Prior to changing its name from New Hope to Hespeler, it was called Bergey Town, reflecting the amount of property owned by Michael. It is reputed that Michael's home on Queen St. in Hespeler, was the first to be built there. His cousin Elias Bergey built a home on Michael's land also.

In 1840 he owned Con.3 - Lot 7 rear in Puslinch ( sold to William Evans - Annals of Puslinch ) and lived on this property and also owned a "great chunk" of land along River Rd.,( referred to in old plans as Puslinch Street) extending from the river to the Town Line.

Susanna OBERHOLZER'S brother Joseph, was married to Margaret Allamang widow of Carl WIFFLER, and mother of Catharine WIFFLER wife of Gideon OCHS Jr. Gideon's parents were in Puslinch in 1834 and in Canada some time before then. The senior generation removed to Wisconsin, and some of their early descendents can be found in Menomonee Falls, Waukesha Co., Wis. - see MAST family

2. ISAAC OBERHOLTZER⁴ BERGEY (MICHAEL HUNSBERGER³, ISAAC², HANS ULRICH BURKI¹) was born December 07, 1828¹, and died 1889. He married CATHARINE GINGERICH GINGRICH. She was born April 27, 1830¹, and died October 08, 1860.

Children of ISAAC BERGEY and CATHARINE GINGRICH are:

i. SARAH GINGRICH⁵ BERGEY, m. FRANK MAST, March 24, 1868; b. 1840.
