Lot 11 Early documentation Peter McBeath reserved till Dec 1830. James McGrath reserved it to April 1 1831; The early road to Waterloo Co cut through it. Homestead of Joseph Lynch b. 1792-1873 m. Ellen Carroll b. 1796 in Kilkenny to Edward Lynch and Elizabeth Walsh. Their children were Edward 1823-1849 m Mary Ann Hanlon; Mary 1824-1867; James 1825-1862 m. Anastasia Kelly; Catherine 1826-1864; and John 1828-1907 m. Julia Ryan. This family immigrated to Canada in 1831 and came directly to Puslinch where several of Ellen's family had already settled. and later sold to P. Hanlon. The first school in the district was on this property. 1950 S. Hume Around 1835 two brothers, Peter and Edward Crawley left Tallanstown Parish, County Louth, Ireland and came to Puslinch. Peter purchased front 12, con. 7 and front lot 21 Con. 4 from the crown. Peter [1867 resident-Peter Crawley] m. Margaret Foster, who lived lot 1 C 7 and they had 3 children, Mary 1847; Peter before 1850 and Annie who m Joseph Coulter. Peter Sr. died in 1862. Both he and his wife are buried in the Foster plot in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Guelph. Peter Jr. had a son Henry, who lived in Winnipeg. Joseph Lester bought Peter's homestead in 1878 James Lester there; 1885. C. Lester; it was passed to his son, Joseph in 1893 and in turn to his son, Clarence. E.W. Pinder owner, 1928-1950. The barn on this farm was burned in 1931 and replaced the same year by a steel barn. Early Documentation James Keogh with a pond. purchased about 1835 by Edward Crawley from Crown - brother of Peter on the adjacent farm. 1867 resident Edward who inherited, He married Elizabeth Durnan from Louth Co. Children Catherine 1839 m Martin Lynch; Peter b. 1841 m Margaret Lynch; Edward b 1843 Mary Jane Soden 1870. She was daughter of Robert Soden and Mary Foster. On his death it passed to his son Edward (there in 1885), who farmed here until retiring when his son, Charles took possession. 1923 E. Crawley In 1947 Charles Crawley sold it to Walter Ashton. 1950 W. Ashton Purchased by Ken Fair. James Kidd (1801-1877), half brother to Samuel, settled here in 1830.
1833 Joseph Lynch bought it at public auction for 17 pounds 9

M. McGarr 1950 W. Milburn which became a car sales business. Arthur Lamb was an early settler. Was 1867 resident 1880 Cornelius Quirk
bought from the Crown; there 1885 and his sons Joseph and Martin were the 1950
owners of the farm.
