with a family of 6.His brother Ignatz (see below)
is shown as leaving in 1832 with a family of 9.
2. CASPER2 ROLL (FRANZ IGNATZ1) was born January 10, 1791 in Dettwiller Alsace1. He married ELIZABETH KOHLER February 04, 1818 in Dettwiller Alsace1, daughter of JOHN KOHLER and ANNA DIEMERT. She was born November 02, 1791 in Dettwiller Alsace1, and died October 28, 18722.

In 1831 Casper ROLL is on Lot 13 Concession # 3 in Beasleys Lower Block in Waterloo with John and Tobias WANNER. Expiration of 7 year residency requirement - June 1835 - registry date March 3,1848 - #510
A letter dated May 22, 1830 by John KOHLER states that Casper ROLL wishes to have Lot # 3 in the 8th Con. in Puslinch Township.

had 2 brothers who came to this country before he did.Casper ROLL,who
was in Ohio for several years, then went to Canada and was never heard
from.Nicholas ROLL,was a tailor by
trade and was lame in one foot.He was in America for several years,then he
returned to France and was also never heard from."
We
have found the marriage record of brother Nicholas in Dettwiller to one
"Catherine JOSEPH".In
1821,widowed,she remarried George Jean WELTZER,who
both turn up in Puslinch by 1830,explaining why Nicholas was never heard from.
