2. GEORGE2 SCHATZ (JOSEPH1) was born Abt. 1825 in Germany1. George married ELIZABETH KRANER/CREINER/GREINER2 Bef. 1850. She was born Abt. 1834 in Germany3.

Notes for GEORGE SCHATZ:

George and Elizabeth (GREINER) appear as sponsors at the baptism of a child born in 1838 to Peter GREINER and Elizabeth PERSON. There is evidence  that these GREINER's are siblings from Trulben, Pfalz, Bayern. They may be the children of Casper GREINER and Maria GELLER who were in Buffalo, N.Y. prior to coming to Ontario. Maria appears as a sponsor for the child of John SCHMIDT and Susanna BAUMAN in Puslinch.

George an Elizabeth Schatz were sponsors to the baptism of Jacob SCHMIDT,son of John and Susanna SCHMIDT (nee BAUMAN). Susanna's sister Barbara married Nicolas SCHANTZ of Trulben, Pflaz, Bayern. Although we don't know where Barbara and Nicholas were married, they lived and raised their family in Wisconsin. Another BAUMAN sister, Elizabeth, married Gideon OCHS Sr. They  moved with the SCHANTZ's  to Wisconsin.
